City Nature Challenge

This year, we are very excited to be partnering with the Natural History Museum in the City Nature Challenge, happening April 26-29. The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. It’s a bioblitz-style competition where cities are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people.

This challenge not only gets us out in nature, but helps us connect with and learn more about the wildlife that lives alongside us. Knowing more about the wildlife around us helps us have a better relationship with it and protect it.

Here at Kidspace we will be hosting mini bio-blitzes every day of the challenge, at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, to try to find as much wildlife at Kidspace as we can in 20 minutes. Document 4 wildlife finds and receive a special trade in the Nature Exchange.
