Welcome to kidspacemuseum.org. Access to and use of the website, ticket purchases and museum visits, membership purchases, participation in Kidspace camps and programming, and donations to the museum (collectively, our “Services”), are subject to the following terms and conditions.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY AS YOUR ACCESS AND USE OF THE SITE AND OUR SERVICES CONSTITUTES AGREEMENT TO ALL TERMS, CONDITIONS AND NOTICES CONTAINED OR REFERENCED HEREIN. IF AT ANY TIME YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SITE OR OUR SERVICES. KIDSPACE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THESE TERMS AT ANY TIME. YOU SHOULD CHECK THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PERIODICALLY FOR CHANGES.
Museum Admission
Please review our visit and safety policies below before purchasing.
- Museum admission is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Indoor galleries are subject to capacity limitations and are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Certain exhibits, programming, or activities may be modified, unavailable, or may have reduced capacity.
- Some activities may require a separate ticket or fee.
- Tickets are valid for your selected day and time. All guests, including members, must reserve timed tickets in advance.
- Entry to Kidspace constitutes consent for the museum to photograph, video, or record your image and voice for promotional or other purposes without compensation.
- Valid ID is required at admission for certain tickets, including member, ACM, ASTC, EBT, military, and senior tickets. Please bring proof of eligibility and a photo ID when you arrive.
- Kidspace reserves the right to close select exhibits and/or areas of the museum campus for any reason, including inclement weather, without providing refunds or discounts.
- We ask that guests reserve only tickets they plan to use. Excessive bookings are subject to cancellation.
- Kidspace admissions, retail, and membership sales welcome debit, credit, and tap-to-pay transactions, but we do not accept cash at this time.
- The museum does not accept expired coupons or passes. Copies will not be accepted. Discount prices and coupons cannot be combined. Kidspace is not responsible for third-party sites hosting outdated information and will not accept discounts published without the museum’s permission.
- Please check our website for closure days, adjusted hours of operation, special events, and accommodations for Rose Bowl events. You can find more information on operating hours, holidays, and closures at http://www.kidspacemuseum.org/visit/hours-admission.
Safety
- Kidspace encourages developmentally appropriate risk-taking and recognizes that play can allow children to test their limits and build resilience. There is inherent risk in all elements of play. Parents and guardians should consider the unique capabilities of their children when selecting activities at Kidspace and are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times. Please stay close to your children and use play elements only as intended. Ask a staff person for guidance, if needed. Kidspace Children’s Museum is not responsible for injuries that occur on campus.
- Minors under the age of 18 may not visit the museum without being accompanied by a legal adult guardian. Adults without accompanying children will not be admitted. Please arrange for your entire party to be present at admission before entering the museum.
- Masks are strongly recommended for everyone indoors. There is an inherent risk of COVID-19 exposure in public places where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Kidspace, you and your party acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
- Stay home if you are ill. If you need to reschedule your visit due to illness, please email billing@kidspacemuseum.org, and we will be happy to rebook you or issue a refund.
Kidspace Campus Rules
- All guests must comply with Kidspace policies, signage, and staff instructions.
- We expect guests to respect Kidspace staff and other visitors and to help us maintain an atmosphere appropriate for young children. Kidspace will not tolerate inappropriate behavior or abusive, demeaning, foul, or harassing language.
- Use of electronic cigarettes, tobacco products, cannabis products, or any illegal substance is prohibited at Kidspace. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in Brookside park (Pasadena city ordinance, PMC 8.78.051).
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Kidspace except during authorized after-hours events.
- Firearms, ammunition, knives, or weapons of any kind are prohibited.
- Unauthorized events, demonstrations, signs, solicitations, or distribution of printed or recorded materials are prohibited.
- Proper attire must be worn at all times. Shoes must be worn in all areas of the museum, including water areas, except the Early Childhood Learning Center where socks are required. Clothing, accessories, or visible tattoos that we consider to be inappropriate for small children or families, or which could detract from the experience of other guests, are not permitted.
- Entry to Kidspace constitutes consent for the museum to photograph, video, or record your image and voice for educational, fundraising, promotional, or other purposes without compensation. Kidspace campus is monitored by security cameras.
- Kidspace is not responsible for loss or damage of belongings or property.
- We reserve the right to prohibit any other activity that we determine may be harmful or disruptive at any time.
- Kidspace Children’s Museum reserves the right to refuse service and/or access, onsite and online, to any individuals disregarding Kidspace policies or disrespectful of Kidspace guests, staff, exhibits, or property. Failure to comply with these policies may result in denial of admission, immediate removal from campus, and/or revocation of membership without refund.
Code of Conduct
Kidspace is designed to foster a joyful learning experience for children, their families, and caregivers. We provide a safe and welcoming space for staff and guests to play and learn together. We expect our staff, volunteers, vendors, and guests to act with responsibility, respect, and integrity during their time here at the museum, and to contribute to building a space where everyone is invited to play.
We ask our visitors to agree to the following code of conduct:
- Be kind – Share the space by being respectful and courteous to others around you. Please do not touch or verbally reprimand a child from another family.
- Watch your children – Provide adult supervision to your children at all times during your visit.
- Treat things well – Use equipment and exhibits safely and appropriately so that all Kidspace guests can enjoy them.
- Respect others – Be mindful that your behavior and language can affect others and should be appropriate for even our youngest guests.
- Assume good intentions – Model positive behaviors and understand that sometimes another child’s play may unintentionally interfere with your child’s play.
- We are here to help! – Contact Kidspace staff immediately with any questions, needs, or concerns.
Kidspace Children’s Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke membership, control occupancy, or eject any person whose behavior is deemed by management to be disorderly or fails to comply with our code of conduct or policies.
General Liability Waiver
By visiting Kidspace you agree to release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Kidspace Children’s Museum (Kidspace) or its affiliated entities, directors, board members, employees, staff, members, volunteers, vendors, agents, representatives, attorneys, predecessors, successors and assigns (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss or damage, and any claim or demands, for any and all injuries incurred while visiting Kidspace or participating in any Kidspace activity, whether or not caused by the negligence of the Releasees. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kidspace and the Releasees against any and all claims, causes of action or lawsuits, for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by you or anyone on your behalf, including any attorneys’ fees or related costs or medical bills or costs which may arise related to your visit to Kidspace or participation in any Kidspace activity.
Membership
Membership Purchases
- Kidspace Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Each membership is limited to one household only and may not be shared between households. Only the adults named at the time of membership purchase and their children, up to the number of children selected at the time of purchase, are eligible for member admission or benefits.
- Some memberships include a limited number of discounted or free guest tickets. Be sure the number of available guest tickets included with your membership suits your family before purchasing.
- Memberships begin the day they are purchased and are valid for twelve months. Museum closures or holidays will not extend the duration of memberships. Expiration dates cannot be extended, put on hold, or set for a future date.
- Kidspace Gift Memberships are non-refundable. Once activated, Gift Memberships are non-transferable.
- Gift Memberships begin when first activated by the recipient.
- Please submit a request for any changes to your account via email to membership@kidspacemuseum.org. Same day requests cannot be accommodated.
- Kidspace Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Consult a tax professional when evaluating the tax implications of membership purchases.
- Fees and benefits are subject to change without notice.
- Failure to follow Kidspace’s policies, Campus Rules, or Code of Conduct may result in revocation of membership without refund.
Member Admission Policies
- Museum admission is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Member admission may be limited by available capacity.
- Each membership is limited to one household only and may not be shared between households. Only the adults named at the time of membership purchase and their children, up to the number of children selected at the time of purchase, are eligible for member admission or benefits.
- Members must reserve timed tickets in advance by signing into our ticketing system (https://secure.kidspacemuseum.org) with their Member ID number and last name. One reservation per membership per day.
- Guest tickets beyond your membership allowance may be added to your order at full price.
- Each named member adult must present a valid photo ID when using their member benefits. At least one named member adult must be present for every member visit.
- Entry to Kidspace constitutes consent for the museum to photograph, video, or record your image and voice for promotional or other purposes without compensation.
Membership Upgrades & Renewals
- Kidspace memberships may be upgraded at any time before expiration by paying the difference in pricing levels.
- Memberships may not be downgraded to a lower membership level.
- Renewal discounts cannot be applied towards membership upgrades.
- Kidspace reserves the right to alter the membership program over time. If membership levels or benefits change prior to your renewal, you may be offered a different membership level at renewal.
Reciprocal Program Policies
- The ACM Reciprocal Network is a voluntary group of ACM member museums open across the U.S. and Canada that reciprocate discounted admission to each other’s members. Present your valid museum membership card with the Reciprocal Network logo at any of the 200 participating museums to receive 50% off general admission for up to six (6) people including the cardholder. For a list of participating museums, please visit findachildrensmuseum.org/reciprocal-network.
- The Association of Science Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program is valid at participating ASTC reciprocal Science Centers and Museums, for up to four (4) guests. The Science Center or Museum must be located at least 90 miles away from the member museum (Kidspace Children’s Museum), as well as the member’s residence, (distance based on linear radius, not driving. Verify participation, as well as any exclusions with the Science Center or Museum you would like to visit ahead of time. Please visit www.astc.org/passport for complete details.
- ASTC and ACM reciprocal benefits cannot be combined together or with other coupons for admission into Kidspace; only one reciprocal admission benefit will be applied towards admission per visit. Valid ID and current membership card must be presented for entry. These benefits are only valid during regular operating hours, not valid for after-hours special events or special exhibitions.
Camps
Camper Health & Wellbeing
Kidspace camps are safety-first and follow all Pasadena, county, state, and CDC health guidances. To maintain the health and safety of all our campers and camp counselors:
- Masks are strongly recommended indoors.
- Handwashing is readily accessible and planned into camp activities.
- Kidspace requests that parents and guardians screen their children for symptoms of illness prior to admission to campus.
- Campers or staff who show symptoms of a communicable illness will be sent home.
Camp Refund Policy
- Withdrawals within ten days of a session’s start date will are subject to a $75 administrative fee.
- If Kidspace closes a camp session to comply with government COVID-19 restrictions, prorated refunds will be available, minus an administrative fee of $75.
- To comply with health department requirements, transfers between camp sessions cannot be accommodated.
- Failure to comply with the Camper Code of Conduct or COVID-19 guidelines may result in withdrawal from camp without refund.
- Kidspace reserves the right to cancel camps due to insufficient enrollment. If a camp is cancelled due to low enrollment refunds will be issued.
Camper Code of Conduct
Our camp advocates a positive guidance and discipline policy. Camp rules are established for safety and to ensure we have a common standard of behavior. On the first day of camp, Kidspace counselors will discuss camp rules will all campers. There may be moments during the course of the camp where a camper may be asked to “take a break” to give themselves a moment to reset. Any issues of behavior will be discussed with parents or guardians at pick-up time. If there are consistent behavioral issues which become disruptive for the other campers, Kidspace reserves the right to send the camper home without refund. Please review the following code of conduct with your camper so that we can ensure a safe, positive and fun environment for all campers:
- I will listen to the camp staff and follow their instructions.
- I will follow all health, masking, and handwashing rules.
- I will inform camp staff if I feel unwell.
- I will not use a mobile phone or personal electronic device while at camp.
- I will treat everyone, including myself, with respect.
- I will respect other people’s belongings by not touching their things without permission.
- I will use appropriate language, which does not include swear words or negative remarks.
- I will stay with the camp and not leave my group or area.
- I will wear my Kidspace Camp shirt every day I am at camp.
- I will respect the property of the camp and of Kidspace Children’s Museum.
Donations
Donation Information
- Kidspace Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational and cultural institution, tax ID #95-3501213.
- Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your donation.
Store and Gift Cards
Kidspace Store Policies
The Kidspace Store includes our on-campus gift shop and retail carts.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult in the store at all times.
- No eating or drinking is allowed in the store.
- Please ask an Associate for help looking at an item on high shelves or inside the packaging. Do not use steps, climb on displays, or open merchandise packaging.
Kidspace Online Store Policies
Our online store is convenient place to find hand-selected children’s books, toys, and activities anytime. It can be found at store.kidspacemuseum.org.
- Kidspace Online Store does not accept Kidspace Gift Cards.
Returns
- We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. If you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, please return it within 30 days for a refund of the merchandise price.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
- Gift merchandise accompanied by a valid gift receipt may be returned for store credit only.
- To start a return, you can contact us at store@kidspacemuseum.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
- We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
- Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at store@kidspacemuseum.org if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
- Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on clearance items or gift cards.
- You can always contact us for any return question at store@kidspacemuseum.org.
Gift Cards
Including Gift Admission and Gift Membership
- Physical Kidspace Gift Cards issued prior to November 2020 can be used for admission, merchandise, membership, and paid-programming, but cannot be redeemed at the Café or Kidspace Online Store.
- Kidspace Gift Admission or Gift Membership voucher codes issued from November 2020 onward are valid for Kidspace admission or membership credit only.
- Kidspace Gift Cards, Gift Admission, or Gift Membership are non-refundable.
- There is no cash back from redeemed gift cards or voucher codes.

Kidspace Children’s Museum’s digital assets are protected by copyright and trademark laws, and are the property of the Kidspace Children’s Museum. Digital assets are defined as content from different media (e.g., photographs, video, text, audio, Web pages, etc.) preserved in digital form.

Rules of Conduct
You shall not post on this Site any Content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing or threatening, contains viruses or other contaminating or destructive features, violates the rights of others, such as content which infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or violates any right of privacy or publicity, or otherwise violates any applicable law.
You may not post on this Site any links to any external site. This Site may not be used by you for any commercial purpose, to distribute any advertising or solicitation of funds or goods and services or to solicit users to join competitive online services.
Links
Kidspace Children’s Museum welcomes links to the Site. Permission to create a link to the Site is not required. However, we do reserve the right to request removal of a link from any Web page we believe does not further Kidspace Children’s Museum’s mission. You may NOT enclose pages from Kidspace Children’s Museum’s Web site within a frame set on your site.
The Site may provide links and pointers to Internet sites maintained by others. Kidspace Children’s Museum is not responsible for the availability of any other site to which this Site links. Nor does Kidspace Children’s Museum endorse or take responsibility for the content, advertising, products or other materials made available through any other site. Kidspace Children’s Museum is not responsible for material appearing on any message board, chat room, or similar interactive service appearing on the Site, except for material signed by an identified representative of the Kidspace Children’s Museum.
