Kidspace: Celebrating Charity

Did you know there are more than 1,000 nonprofit organizations in Pasadena?

Kidspace Children’s Museum was one of 37 nonprofits featured in Outlook Newspaper’s special edition “Celebrating Charity.” This 96-page edition highlights the amazing work done by each featured organization from the Pasadena community.

Kidspace is proud of the impact we have on youth, not only in Pasadena, but throughout Southern California and those visiting our beautiful city. Our kid-driven experiences and interactive exhibits provide endless education based opportunities for children. Below is a small glimpse of our feature article:

“One of the organization’s top priorities is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn through play. Kidspace relies on community support to help deliver powerful educational experiences on a daily basis and make the museum available for everyone through Kidspace for All access programs. More than 90,000 of the 380,000 guest served this year (2018) will have visited through free and reduced cost programs, which include an EBT card holder discount, Free Family Nights, military discounts, school and camp field trips, My Masterpieces art program for PUSD kindergarteners, and sensory sensitive events.”

CEO Michael Shanklin noted, “We encourage curiosity and imagination throughout the museum – there is something for everyone.”
