Bean Sprouts – Now Open at Kidspace

Bean Sprouts café, a hip and healthy concept where families participate in a playful eating experience, opens Sunday, February 3 inside Kidspace Children’s Museum.

Kidspace guests will be delighted with the award-winning menu for families that especially empowers kids to make their own good-for-you choices. The “Imaginnibles” kids’ menu includes whimsical foods prepared into fun shapes like Grilledzilla (grilled cheese cut into a monster face) and Crocamole (an avocado-hummus veggie dipper shaped like a crocadile). Grown-ups will be equally pleased with sophisticated sandwich, salad, and pizza options and the organic espresso bar.

“Kidspace is proud to launch this new partnership with a café onsite that aligns with our value of healthy living and playful, family experiences,” said Kidspace Chief Executive Officer, Michael Shanklin.

Bean Sprouts offers a variety of choices for families with picky eaters, allergies, and other dietary challenges. The café adheres to clean ingredient guidelines and features sustainable foods, compostable packaging, and eco-friendly design. Bean Sprouts has been recognized as the “Best Wellness Concept” by Food Management Magazine and won Allertrain’s “Allergy Innovation” award.

With a company philosoPEA of sparking children’s appetites for yummy, good-for-you food and delighting parents with a happier mealtime, Bean Sprouts’ co-founders Shannon “Peacasso” Seip and Kelly ”Pea Brain” Parthen are often called upon as experts in making healthy food fun. They have shared their playful and innovative approach with Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move team at the White House and have been featured on many major media outlets, including Good Morning America and Parents magazine.

“Kidspace has BEAN on our radar for quite some time as my own children adore this museum and have made many trips up the Raindrop Climber,” said Parthen. “Kidspace is so aligned with Bean Sprouts’ HIPP (health, innovation, positivity, and playfulness) core values so we know it will be a fruitful (and veggie-ful) partnership!” For more information or to see a menu, kidspacemuseum.org/visit/cafe.
