Pasadena Chalk Festival in Brookside Park next to Kidspace
The 33rd annual Pasadena Chalk Festival is coming to Brookside Park next to Kidspace on September 26 and 27. More than 500 artists from across Southern California will transform the Brookside Park pavement into vibrant works of chalk art.
Known as a “Museum without Walls,” the free, two-day festival invites families and art lovers to watch the murals take shape, enjoy music by DJ Cadillac G, grab a bite from a variety of food trucks, and picnic in the park. On Sunday, cast your vote for your favorite completed mural!
Kidspace will host a free chalk art activation for kids in front of the museum. Little artists can grab some chalk and add their own colorful creations to the sidewalk. The museum will be open for general admission and free for members.
The festival also features a silent auction of affordable art created by participating artists, benefiting Light Bringer Project and its innovative arts programs for Pasadena public school youth.
