Celebrate the Year of the Snake

Join the family-friendly Lunar New Year celebration January 25 and 26! Welcome the Year of the Snake at Kidspace with special art activities, a cozy pop-up library dedicated to the Chinese zodiac, spectacular traditional Lion Dance performances, and more! According to the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Snake is a time for renewal, transformation, and growth. The snake is the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac and is associated with wisdom, charm, and elegance.
Join the celebration! Lion Dance performances will be held in the Courtyard at 12:00 pm.
EAST WIND FOUNDATION FOR YOUTH, INC
The EAST WIND FOUNDATION FOR YOUTH, INC is a 501(c)3 registered organization based in the heart of the Los Angeles Chinatown community. Established in 1972 by Sifu Ron Quan, East Wind’s focus on working towards creating opportunities and making positive impacts on at-risk youths has made them a leader in the global community of not-for-profit institutions. This long-standing tradition has instilled confidence and self-esteem in every person invested with the organization. East Wind has grown since its modest beginnings and seeks to continue its success in three key areas: Performing Arts, Education, and Community.
Established in 1971, the museum is one of few U.S. institutions dedicated to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands, serving the city of Los Angeles and the Greater Southern California region. The museum’s mission is to further intercultural understanding through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands.
