Campaign for the Future of Kidspace | Kidspace Museum

Campaign for the Future of Kidspace

In 2011, the Board of Directors launched a $13 million capital campaign. The Campaign for the Future of Kidspace allowed the Museum to take full advantage of its physical and natural resources, expanding the capacity of children and their families served, and helped to build stronger partnerships in the community. The stage was set for Kidspace to maximize its potential and continue to be a leader in children’s museum and informal education.

In 2017, the Campaign for the Future of Kidspace was completed! This transformative capital campaign introduced new exhibits and programs, upgraded technology and infrastructure around the campus, and retired the $4 million in construction debt dating back to 2004 when the museum moved to Brookside Park.

Kidspace held a dinner on May 3, 2018 to celebrate the completion of the campaign and to honor key supporters. Michael Shanklin, CEO, recognized the Popovich family for their dedication to the museum by unveiling a new museum entrance sign.

The generous gifts to the campaign made by individuals, corporations, and foundations made the following new exhibits possible:

Robert and Mary Galvin Physics Forest

Milias Imagination Workshop

S. Mark Taper Foundation Early Childhood Learning Center

Kidspace Greenhouse

Arroyo Adventure

Storyteller Studio
