Simple Sensory Slime

Kids never seem to get tired of slime! Here’s a fun and easy way to add an extra experience to it.

By adding different things like glitter, googly eyes, or even glow paint, you can create a sensory activity with many different tactile experiences. You don’t even have to make multiple batches of slime if you don’t want to. It’s very easy to make up a batch and then split it in half or quarters to add different elements to it. You can even use it as a math lesson on fractions!
Here’s a list of what you need to make this slime recipe:

  • ½ cup of water
  • ½ cup white glue
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Food coloring of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons saline solution

Steps:

  • Mix water and glue together. Tip: spray the measuring cup with cooking spray before measuring out the glue to prevent sticking!
  • Add the baking soda and mix.
  • Add the food coloring and mix.
  • Add the saline solution and mix. (The more saline solution, the stiffer the end slime will be.)

Optional:  Add things like sequins, glitter, tiny foam balls, or googly eyes to the slime for a different sensory feel!
