How can a quilt become a work of art? How does that work of art tell an important story about who made it with loving care? How does that loving care shape a story about what the quilt means to a community? For centuries, Black women have created quilts to keep their families warm and also to hold memories of their lives, sewn in the patchwork patterns and colors.

What memories will you keep and what stories can you tell with texture, forms, patterns, and cloth?
